WASHINGTON, June 30, 2012 — Wimbledon 2012 is off to a blazing start. First French Open champ Rafael Nadal loses to Lukas Rosol, ranked 100th, in one of the biggest upsets in the last ten years of men’s tennis.
Then two days later, Rosol who was being proclaimed the “Giant Killer,” came back to Earth and was defeated in straight sets by 27th seed, Philipp Kohlschreiber, a German who had reached the fourth round of Wimbeldon for the first time.
So what’s next? What other giant will stumble? Is there a giant killer out there ready to topple the king or queen?
